Fact: Capella University hires and retains instructors who have bought and used fake degrees from diploma mills
It is a verifable fact that Capella Univerity hires and retains instructors who have bought and used fake degress from diploma mills. While they have done this openly, and for many, many years, Capella University and their attorneys will do everything (legal and otherwise) to hide this fact. In addition, Capella University's supporters have steadfastly also refused to recognize this fact because it will, indeed, show the type of unethical people they hire.
The most notorious of the dishonest and unethical adjunct faculty members that Capella University has hired is Diane Stottlemyer. More information coming soon. For now, read about Diane Stottlemyer's fake degrees by clicking here.
Fact: Capella University officials, students, personal friends of Michael Offerman, and other Capella surrogates, regularly engage in attacking and harassing critics
- Kurt Linberg, Dean of Capella's "School of Technology and Business" attacks student (September 28, 2005) on a blog. The writer of that blog, on a web site hosted by the University of Colorado, was Nate Lowell of the National Center on Low-Incidence Disabilities at the University of Northern Colorado. Lowell stated that, Linberg's "comment appears to be from a Capella University IP address and contains what looks like a valid e-mail address." Click here to view Linberg's blog post (note, this post was made a month after Capella filed a frivolous countersuit against the person Linberg was attacking).
- Sean Young, a personal friend of Capella's president, Michael Offerman, has engaged in
ridiculing a student (as recently as April 2008). One of Sean Young's e-mails may be viewed here. Sean Young is pictured (on left) with Michael Offerman (on right).

- "Nunya Binuss" and "CreamOfSumYungGuy" - this person has used (at least) two different IP Address: 72.179.178.31 and 214.3.151.104 (which traces back to the United States Department of Defense - one of Capella University's richest sources of income). This individual has engaged in "verbal terrorism" at least five different times; including the following statements (click on each link to view the entire message):
- "You ARE truly a gutless fuck. I thought so…go sod yourself, wanker."
- "Obviously, your tiny brain will not allow any rational thought or emotion, or you would be over whatever you feel Capella [University] did to wrong you."
- "If you are indeed trying to make a point, you might try to do it in such a way as to not come off as a complete wanker." (This message was posted using the IP which belongs the United States Department of Defense.)
- "What a worthless, chickenshit piece you are." (This message was posted using the IP which belongs the United States Department of Defense.)
